Welcome Junior Landscape Architect Linzey Bedard
A native of Cape Breton Island, Linzey draws design inspiration from dramatic maritime landscapes. Previously, Linzey has worked in residential landscape design and construction and has represented Nova Scotia in the Canadian National Skills Competition in Landscape Gardening.
Linzey’s research at the master’s level focused on furthering the City of Vancouver’s green corridor network and enhancing opportunities for programming and pause along this network. Furthermore, she has contributed to playground design guidelines in association with the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Vancouver School Board. Linzey has worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in several courses in the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA), lecturing and developing coursework in subjects relating to transportation planning, strategic infill and densification, conceptual design, and site analysis. Linzey has a keen interest in human pause and movement through space.
