A Park for Today

This spring, construction started on Ekistics' redesign of downtown Halifax's Cornwallis Park, and you can now see it taking shape. Changes will begin at the south end of the park: the old fences that cut through the site are gone, replaced with terraces and seating walls. We've worked with the site's natural topography, creating a series of terraces that form a natural space for performance and gathering. The first of two playgrounds will be installed in the next few weeks, and this revitalized green space in the heart of Halifax's south end will be soon ready for visitors.
