Ekistics Plan + Design Welcomes Matt Reynolds
Drawing on a keen interest in architecture and graphic design, Matt makes for an ideal fit for our interdisciplinary team.
Matt is passionate about the intersection aesthetic expression of the past and the technology and needs of the present. Previously, Matt has worked in award-winning architectural firms across Canada with a focus on heritage building conservation.
Matt’s research at the master’s level focussed on examining the vernacular traditions of communities situated around the North Atlantic including Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Magdalen Islands, Iceland and Norway. He was also awarded the Rossetti Scholarship for travel research to further his research in the Faroe Islands, a remote archipelago between Iceland and Norway. Matt has presented at multiple conferences including his short film “Second Obstruction: Design, Prototype, Build” at the Association of Architectural Educators Conference.
