Ekistics Welcomes Landscape Architect Nicholas Robins

Nicholas Robins

Ekistics Plan + Design (now Fathom Studio) would like to welcome Landscape Architect Nicholas Robins to our team. Nicholas brings with him an intimate knowledge of garden design and maintenance as well as visual art and graphic design.

Prior to completing his Masters in Landscape Architecture at The University of Edinburgh, Nicholas worked as a gardener while studying visual art and graphic design at OCAD and Emily Carr. Nicholas’ masters thesis took him to Copenhagen, Denmark where he completed a conceptual re-design of the green spaces in the community of Norrebro. The goal of the project was to bring harmony to the rapid urban development, the need for sustainable green spaces and assist with stormwater management.

Nicholas has previously worked here and in the United Kingdom at studios such as UPLANDS Planning and Design Studio in here in Dartmouth, Benton Scott-Simmons in Glasgow and Here + Now in Edinburgh. He has worked in a variety of scales, from broad scope master planning to single family residential projects.
