The Municipality District of Lunenburg (MODL) surrounds the towns of Bridgewater, Lunenburg, and Mahone Bay, and is the third largest district in Nova Scotia. With assets outstretched from the ocean to inland, there is no lack of destinations to discover in this well visited area. MODL wished to improve visitors’ and residents’ ability to discover these assets, as well as strengthen the relationship with the region’s brand. 

This system balances the region’s brand, through colour palette and material, and consists of large gateway signage welcoming visitors as they enter the region helping to unifies the place to visitors. Large park beacon signs were developed to accommodate high road speeds. To accompany the strategy, we created a tender-ready package consisting of signage templates, a design intent document, and a location plan and message schedule.
