Fort Needham a Finalist in SEGD Global Design Awards

Each year the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) honours works in seven categories that show exceptional use of graphic design to communicate effectively, tell a story and create a strong sense of place. We are very proud that our design for Fort Needham Memorial Park is amongst the finalists as the projects truly do represent the best of the best.

With the 100th anniversary of the Halifax explosion occurring on December 6, 2017 the design sought to communicate the devastating loss that Halifax experienced on that date by telling the story of the community, its people and the two ships that collided on that fateful day.

This project represents the work of our interpretive planning and design (formerly Form:Media) and landscape architecture (Ekistics Plan & Design) teams.

Since 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards have set the standard for excellence in the field of experiential graphic design, honouring designs that connect people to public spaces. Awards are conferred by an international multi-disciplinary panel of jurors.
